Yahoo and Google are currently the two major players in the search engine arena. Yahoo purchased a number of other search engines, including the Inktomi Network, Overture.com, Altavista, and FAST. A number of major directories include Yahoo results, so if you get listed on Yahoo Search, you may also appear on MSN, Espotting, About, Goo, Hotbot, and others. You can submit to Yahoo Search for free by clicking the link above. If you currently do not have a Yahoo account, you can set one up on the screen you will see after clicking the link. It's free to setup the account. Your Yahoo submission is extremely important, because of the number of search engines it covers, so do this as soon as you can. Our auto submit tool does submit to Google.com, but this one's so important, we're listing it again. Google doesn't penalize you for submitting too often. Once you can get listed with Google and Yahoo (see above), you will have most of the Internet covered, because of the power and distribution of these two major search engine companies. Yahoo has a separate directory area where you can get listed in addition to their Yahoo Search service. They offer free submission for non commercial websites. Visit Yahoo.com and find the directory where you want to be listed. Once you find it, click the Suggest a Site link at the bottom of the page. Results from the Open Directory are used by a number of search engines, including AOL, All the Web, AltaVista, Google, HotBot, Lycos, Northern Light, and Yahoo Manually Submit | More Search Engine Info | Meta Tags | | Return Home | Start Talking | Submit for FREE | Buy the Top | SearchEngine Secrets | Mitch's Warnings | Make a Website | |
